What DELE is?

The DELE (Diplomas de EspaƱol como Lengua Extranjera) exams, organized by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education, are official diplomas certifying Spanish language proficiency for non-native speakers.

DELE exams are available for different proficiency levels based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), ranging from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficient) -including A1, A2/B2 school students from age 11 to17 years old. The exams take place in DELE examination centres during annually scheduled calls published by Instituto Cervantes.

Each exam consists of several parts designed to assess different skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

The DELEs have indefinite validity and international recognition.

How do we make students to be successful in their exams?

  • Assessing the current level and setting goals.
  • Familiarizing the student with the exam format.
  • Developing a study plan.
  • Focusing the lessons on key exam skills -Reading, Speaking, Writing and Listening.
  • Stimulating exam conditions.
  • Building vocabulary and grammar using supplementary resources.
  • Improving time management.
  • Customizing the approach.

By carefully balancing these strategies, our intention is to guide students to build strong language skills, develop effective exam strategies, and gain the confidence needed to succeed in the exam.
